After my first attempt at a restoration of a 44A, I would have to say that the worst part of any restoration is not having the patience to wait. By that I mean, don't rush the job. Do it right the first time, one time. If you want a class A job, go over the whole tractor, engine, seals, bearings, cooling system etc..., get it all in good running order, clean, and "Good-to-Go". THEN, start the fun part of stipping and painting. You will enjoy it much better, knowing your machine will run great and look even better!
PS. A good coat of paint can cover a mutitude of sins.
