Our H had a fast 4th , 61/2 - 7 I would guess . Dad bought it new in '48 just barely remember him driving it home . Don't know if the gear was in it new or some after market part but when I started driving it a few years later it had the fast 4th went much faster than the M . There was a big gap between 3rd and 4th speed . Some time in early '60s Tractor Supply Co had a set of gears that made the 3rd gear like the old 4th and the 4th was about the same as the fast 4th . We put these in and still are in it today . Our old M has the M&W 9 speed in it and that sure made a tractor out of it .
