Dave - replacing the seals is not difficult but you don't mention whether the seal is the one that goes to the clutch (shaft has a universal type joint on it) or if it is the belly pump drive shaft. Replacing the drive shaft seal (the one that goes to the clutch) is pretty straight forward and involves removing the driveshaft, removing the bearing seal retainer and popping out the old seal and replacing with the new one. The belly pump drive shaft is similar but removing the drive dog can be tricky. I used a piece of straight bar stock that fit nicely in the drive dog grooves and rapped the bar with a hammer (similar to a air ratchet) the drive dog broke loose and it simply unscrews. Replacing the seal is the same as the drive shaft. I was lazy and actually did both my seals with the tranny full of 90 wt. and only lost maybe half a pint. Good luck
