Kelly, My '41 H is split as we speak. I've taken every bolt off of it from the clutch housing forward, and will be doing the same for the rear end starting in October. As has been recommended, you'll need an engine hoist and plenty of working room. The parts manuals are a must too. Keeping everything together in boxes is a good idea, and I went one step further -- placing all small parts in zip lock bags labeled. I bolted two pieces of 3/8" angle iron to the clutch housing to support the rear end, rather than using jacks. I'll send you a couple of pictures. Two other tips: impact wrenches make the job easy. I've got a 1/2" impact wrench that puts out 500 ft lbs of torque, and that's enough to get even the 1" rusted bolts off without swearing. The other tip is patience. After 6 months of neglect, I'm just coming back to work on it now. The project is more fun than ever. There have been days where I stood there for an hour trying to figure out the best way of doing things like lifting the rear housing cover (four grade 5 bolts into the leveler chain -- comes straight up!). All in all, an extremely rewarding and educational process. But not a cheap one. Cheers, Brett

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
