I gor a friend that has an H that misses after ya run it for over a 1/2 hour. It is converted over to 12-volt. We changed points, condenser, plugs, wires, coil, & the resistor. The gauge show in the run section, but not the hot. He swears that it runs hot but I believe the gauge more than I do him. How would dumping ice water on the coil help this & are coils filled with oil to keep them cool? What is another way that I could show him that this here tractor is not running hot? Any ideas?
