I have an old 400 Farmall I mow with. Tonight an oil/drain cover between the clutch and transmission was cracked by a washer that tried to pass under the main drive gear and the oil/drain cover. After looking up in the area where the washer came from I can't seem to find anything that the washer came off of. the main drive gear seems to be able to slide back and forth, but is limited to it's travel by a plate in front of it that seperates compartments? I have a book that shows an exploded view of the transmission, but I can't find this washer in the book. The tractor has a T/A but is inoperable from pulling. And also has the PTO option. The tractor still drove and was working fine when I stopped it. Would any of you guys that are more familiar with these tractors have any ideas, as to where this washer might have come from. Thanks Kevin
