Years ago we had an old '50 Chevy car that we used to haul tools and oil around. Of a night it was put in the barn. One morning we looked out and it was sitting almost to the road. Best we could figure was that the starter shorted and it pulled it self that far before the battery went dead. Lickily the barn doors were open. After that we never left it in gear when we parked it for the night.
