Bill: The 464 was made at Louisville plant and was classed as American made. It did however use a "skid unit" consisting of transmission and rear end shipped to Louisville from England and then had a C175 American made gas engine added. The sheet metal was all U.S. made and a Delco electrical system was used. Parts are pretty much readily available at any Case IH dealer although some of the engine parts are getting harder to find.(that series of gas engine hasn't been built since about 1978.) The basic chassis is very similar to tractors built right up until this year by Case IH. All around they are a pretty good tractor with some deluxe features such as independent pto, hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic wet disc brakes, good size hydraulic pump(12 gpm I think)One of the most common problems with that series is the park brake. It is a band type brake in the transmission and if the tractor is driven with the brake on, it will pull the lining off the band. That is a fairly expensive thing to repair. Hope this helps. Don

Flax provided the fibre which w
