well us advertisers in RPMag are paying.. if you look at the advertising prices thru the past year and a half, you will see that there have been two increases in advertising prices. The increase varies for the type of ad, but for my 1/4 page ad, my cost has increased 60%. The justification is that the magazine has a circulation of 13,000, and we should be selling more stuff because of that. Well, that hasn't happened, and sales have gone down in the past year.. heck I actually sell more parts from a classifed ad in AP magazine. I have a feeling since RP magazine has had a printer change, the printer raised the price of printing so much that the only way to keep the magazine profitable, is to increase advertiser rates. Just watch out, I see a subscription increase on the horizon just like the last time the advertising increase happened....
