Keith I am not an expert on how people buy things but I guess I am just old fashioned. I like to see the item in person and discuss the price with the seller. I find E-bay sellers are usually looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. A point in fact: my son in law told me he was looking for a manual for his Massey 33 and had bid on one on E-bay, his bid was $25 US..I hit the roof ,I told him he could buy a brand new manual from a dealer not 12 miles from where he lives...as it turned out his bid was low and he drove over to the manual dealer the next week and got a manual for $20 Canadian ,a savings of about $10 dollars...not every thing on E-bay is a bargain and people often bid there because they don't know where to find the item elsewhere..if you are interested in a tractor like this put an ad in the wanted section and you will be presented with a wide range of items , all to be bargained for. This is an auction that is set up for the seller who can put a reserve bid in to protect himself...the rest is just gravy...find a tractor for sale that is not being sought and you will buy it cheaper than an auction..good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
