C demonstrator

Ive been looking for websites and other sources of information for information on C demonstrators. I think we have one, can tell because theres white paint coming through the red everywhere, the seat, hood, lights, front grill, decals are coming off and theres something under them (cant read them). It has Serial number 47600, a 1950 model. How can i know FOR SURE if this is the real thing, and if it is where can in get information about decals, paint colors & styles on the internet, or maybe what books could provide information. Im thinking about restoring it for a school project thinking it will be fun and a learning experience, only problem is lack of info. Please give me some input on this, it will be greatly appreciated Thank You
