Block exchange

Will the block from a 49 "C" block casting number 251069R1 fit in a 40 "BN" block casting number 6342D. I know the steering rod comes in from different sides and the "BN" doesn't have a hyd pump. A block off plate could be made for the hyd pump location on the "C" block. The "BN" ran into a hard water problem. Got holes in the block.
