Nope, can't be an M. First, M's never had glow-plug diesels, they were all gas-start diesels. Second, the serial number sounds like a number series serial number. The "S" suffix usally means that the tractor is equipped with a TA. The "Y" usally means 12 g.p.m. hydraulic pump. Not sure what the "FF" means. I think you've got either a 340 or a 504, as those two had four cylinder glow-plug diesels, and could be equipped with the options I mentioned. Can you give any more information, like numbers on the engine block, how many speeds the trans. has, or post a picture?
