The production of letter series Farmalls began in 1939 with the A, B, H and M. Around 1946 or 7 the B was discontinued in favour of the C From that time foreward these tractors at various times where given up grades and from there on called Supers. Most of these up grades were more power, hydraulics, etc. As I don't know all of these I will give a few examples. The A became a Super A in 1947 with slightly more power and the addition of hydraulics. The C had hydraulics and became a Super C in 1951. A, SA and C all had 113 cubic inch engine SC was given 123 cubic inch engine, and went from a band brake to disc brakes. I am not as familiar with changes to H and M, but items were disc brakes, larger engines, improved hydraulics, better front axles, etc. The H became a Super H in 1953 and the M became a Super M in 1952. Production of all these tractors ended in 1954 with the introduction of the 100, 200, 300 and 400 and more improvements. This is US production, please do not confuse this with British production. Changes did not ocur there at same times.
