Vacuum Lift

I've recently picked up an 'A' with a complete "vacuum lift". After a little work in freeing up the exhaust stack valve, the thing seems to work (at least it sucks). Now I could use is a bit of direction about the unit. How was it connected from tractor to implement, which implements was it designed to work with, is there any printed reference material around ? and all those other questions that get asked. Any little bit of info would be appreciated. Thanks
