I think the guy who sells tractor tires, the guy who sells tractors or motorcycles, or jet ski's and even the Dairy Queen guy are on about the same seasonal schedule. That is, late Fall and Winter have to be the slowest time of the year. Tires aren't much of a Christmas gift item.

So if the dealer has the tires in inventory in the Fall after harvest, he'd be more willing to cut you a deal - so he can turn them into cash for important things in life, like making payroll withholding tax payments! Then again, if he doesn't have them in stock, he may not be as willing to deal. Preparing for Spring tilling time is probably the busy season, so it's when they're least likely to deal.
