How to Verify a good head (SMD)

I have a SMD that I purchased cheap as a project. I found out that a diesel does not make for a cheap project. Now I want to sell parts and I know that the head is the most valuable part. I don't see any visible cracks on the head, but how do I 'certify' that it's not cracked? Will a machine shop provide paperwork saying the head is good? Would any of you trust the paperwork?
