Actual serial number trails the U (which meant built in USA), 27786 for Farmall 856 was later part of 1969, 12307 for Farmall 826 built in middle of 1970. Front numbers are called Kind (261) then Code (132-142), this controlled the price and options on the tractor, was also required for any warranty claim.
