Thanks, I've already done that (several times actually). I don't think it is carb related as it is blowing back through the carb and sucking through the exhaust. It does also suck through the carb and blow through the exhaust like it should cycles in, out, in, out as if the valves were open or opening prematurely or tardy and causing the engine to eventually starve itself of fuel. I will check compression this evening to see if all cylinders are the same. Not sure where to go from the outcome of that test regardless of how it turns out. I do appreciate the help though. What is the problem with your 400?
