License??? Uh oh. Well...my trip to pick it up may be delayed while I check into the license issue. I feel comfortable I can handle the rig...just like a tractor..slow and easy. But...here is where a little knowledge can get dangerous. My understanding (based on a conversation with the friendly DMV folks in Alabama)was that if the vehicle had hydraulic and not air brakes, a commercial ticket wasn't needed. After all this talk about gross vehicle weight, it seems I now remember something about a 15,000 GVWR being max. I know I would be above the limit in Alabama. Not real sure about the other states I will ferry through (Arkansas, Mississippi). Can anyone help me out on the various requirements here? I know the truck won't be near the 15,000 limit on the scales, but the Mfg tag is a dead give-away. I'll call DMV tomorrow and see what Alabama says. Thanks for the "heads up".

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
