Ok, a little common sense here(shaddap, Talers). First off this ain't my board, but I just can't believe what you are suggesting for your son, so I'm gonna comment. Even if you're not serious, and know better, this plan of yours could give others the wrong idea. Do you have any idea what a little wee shimmy at 16 MPH would equate to at 65??? Those rear tires could explode at 65 MPH. They probably would be horrendously out of balance for 65 MPH. The tractor doesn't have brakes anywhere near adequate capacity for 65 MPH. Sitting that high up in the seat, the least little swerve could throw your kid off of the seat and into the ditch or traffic. None of those bearings were ever intended for 65MPH, especially for a sustained period such as this 22 1/2 mile one way. Any of these things (and lots of others) could have disasterous consequences. If you REALLY are serious about sending your own flesh and blood to school on a tractor at 65 MPH, get him a Custom, a Norseman, or a Friday, as they were somewhat intended for high speed with their Crysler powertrains, lower profile, and hydraulic brakes. Even then I wouldn't recommend it.
