Larry is right. The 826 is more of a souped up 706/756 style tractor, frame and fuel tank, sheetmetal is similar. The 856 is built like the big ones, the 1026 hydro, 1206, 1256 and 1456 tractors. The 407 is an excellent engine and I imagine the 856 is a lot more tractor. Never had one but have had 1206 and 1256.
