I have just bought a Farmall 504 Diesel Row Crop and it runs and drives great except for one problem. When the T/A is on the high side and the tractor is going up a small hill ( or pulling a load ) and you press the clutch, it doesn't want to free-wheel ( it's like something is binding internally ). This makes it hard to get it out gear. If I pull the T/A to the low side, the problem goes away. I can also hear noise in the belly when the T/A is on high and the tractor is only idling. I've about decided it is the T/A but wanted to see if anyone else has seen this before? Thanks for any advice.
