IH 504 Hydraulics

I just bought a IH 504 utility and this may sound stupid but for the life of me I cannot find where to check the hydraulic oil level. Anyone know? I think I am a little low so I want to know where to check it and where to add if I am low. Also, the steering seems to whine quite a bit and I thought that may have to do with low hydraulics too. Any help would be appreciated.
