First of all, another thanks to you folks that answered my post about the burned up C.The lady that owns it has an A that her son uses to get firewood. She called my mother and asked her to send me over to get her tractor started.I was really puzzled at first-how could an engine that has spark and getting plenty of fuel not run?I checked the timing-it was ok.I cleaned the plugs and the spark was good.Should of been good because I installed a new mag last year! After fooling with it a couple hours, the neighbor lady tells me it ran fine until it ran out of gas.Her son filled it up and then it wouldn't start. That's when I noticed the "off" color of the fuel.It didn't smell quite right either.I drained all the gas out of the tractor, poured in fresh, and it immediately started! It missed so I'm going to NAPA and getting new plugs for it.I thought this would be a good lesson for all you folks.Better to read about it here than struggle with it in the field!Hope I didn't bore you with my long post!
