Farmall 656 Hydralic filter change question

How much fluid will I lose when I change the Hydrolic filter on my tractor. I purchased 5 gals of replacement fluid, but I am concerned that I may lose more than this when I removed the filter cover plate.

Also, does anyone have the wiring connections (pin out) of the factor light switch (rotary style). The factory wiring has been butchered and I'm trying to figure out how to wire new lights up with the old rotary switch. I need to know what wires go to what terminals, and what each "position" of the switch is supposed to turn on (or off).
