Mike, as with any throwout bearing, use mimimal grease on the shaft...just a fine film, if you use too much, it'll fling off onto the clutch disc. Check your throwout bearing for the chatter, if you find that the bearing is somewhat froze up, that may have wallowed out the pilot bearing which will make it chatter like crazy...I'm not familiar with the 250, but relaying experience gained from a Super C that had been sitting for years.
