Set the number one cylinder on compression stroke Top dead center ( check the timing marks on cracnkshaft). Pull the coil wire out of the distributor and ground it, so it can arc. Loosen the distributor and turn the power on. rotate the distributor oppsite normal rotation until an arc jumps from the coil wire( try a few times to get specific spot.) Tighten the distributor down and your set. Make sure your points are set properly with about .020 clearance. My Cub runs excellent set like this.
