Same here, diesel will keep fine for a decade if not more, so a winter is no problem for it. But if it makes you feel better to pamper the tractor, then that is fine too.
On the subject of premium fuel, these tractors were designed to run on regular old fuel oil (or most of them were, at least), so that is usually the cheapest and most economical thing to use.
