You now have the top and bottom half - do each in that section and that way you do not get any piece mixed or trying to remember where this one went...You will need a rebuild kit, NAPA, Carquest, IH dealer, or other should be able to help you - Bendix name often on the Zenith carb and thats probably what you have - I will give you a parts # tomorrow to check on - Get you a gallon of carb parts cleaner at local auto store, I use a pair of long pliers or channel locks to lift wire basket from it and to place it back in or to place the bottom or top half of carb into solution and then wash it thoughly with water before handling (get some WD 40 to spray on parts after washing with the water and you will need a couple of shop cloths). We will do the bottom first - when you have the parts cleaner - Post... That top gasket often will break if old and in need of replacing - you would have been lucky had it not split and that generally tells you to rebuild...

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
