Plugs AND wires, tiny? It sounds like your problem was more than just plugs. I suspect that there are alot of instances where the wrong heat range is used. Maybe Champion doesn't specify their heat ranges very well. I dunno - I've not used anything other than good platinum plugs for several years - I'm no expert here. I work with several certified mechanics. They DO have their biases - and many of these biases aren't based as much on fact as hearsay. This is true with spark plugs as well as motor oil. We use Autolite plugs where I work. Not necessarily because thay are good - it is because we use low-bid parts.
