Thanks guys for all the input and suggestions! I checked with Guy Fay and Ken Updike a while back and they both said basically the same thing. As far as there being something in B&W from I-H there probably isn't. I pulled with this club about 2 1/2 years running the OE block with a 281 kit and was OK. My opinion is the rule is a little extreme. Most of the clubs in the area allow a newer engine as long as it's in the same series or family of engines. I'm still OK with them. BTW Bud, I asked about grinding off #s and was told that was an automatic DQ so beware of that. I'd ask whoever I was pulling with before I did anything. Thanks again yall!
