Since I have not heard your tractor cannot say if it is unusally noisy or not. All of them are noisy though. I bought my A almost 40 years ago brought it home and installed new belly mower. First time I used mower was sick of whole deal the PTO whined so loud I knew it could not last long. To get to my point the tractor wore the belly mower down to a useless piece of junk and the whine was no worse than on day one.
