I have both an "H" and "M" that were made in 1939, with the channel iron seat on them. I had to make the one for the "M". I made a little modification to it by making the little tool box that goes under the seat, I made it out of stainless steel. I think it turn out very nice. I did run across a guy at a tractor show a couple of years ago that was from Iowa, that was making the seat assembly for the 39's. I would have to do some looking for his name if you were interested.
