When I rebuilt my A about 5 years ago, The last thing I did before the tear down was to run it with about a quart of Marvel Mystery oil in it for about 20 minutes. When I tore it down, the muck had softened up and you could see where the mystery oil had been eating up the old deposits. It had never seen detergent oil before the tear down and now that everything is clean and fresh, I run nothing but detergent. I wouldn't recommend that you do the Mystery oil thing unless you're going into a tear down like I did.
