Hi Everybody, I did another inspection last night and can confirm that everything seems to be functioning OK until the pivot shaft goes into the lower bolster. I can see the pivot shaft turn when I turn the steering wheel, so something isn't connected at the end of the shaft at the lower bolster. I have not checked to see if the flange is actually broken although I think I would have noticed that pretty quick. I guess the shaft might be broken at the flange and if so, how is it connected to it if I'm going to replace it? I'm a more curious than qualified mechanic. Is this something I should try to fix or should I let a pro do it?
