Some folks like Champions, some don't, but D-21's or equivalent are pretty hot. They used to make a D-23 that was even hotter, but you might have to special order them.
Any good parts house should be able to cross those numbers to your favorite brand.
If it smokes too bad, maybe no plug can hold up as long as you would like it to.
