Sounds very much like cables, connections or batteries. However don't rule out your new items. I once got a starter back from rebuilders with wrong armature. It was a rush job on 1066. They actually installed armature for DT466 truck engine. That starter is ahead of flywheel 1066 starter is behind flywheel. I worked but turned engine backwards. 1066 doesn't start well that way. I have also seen defective new solinoids in my life time. My experience on those larger farm diesels has been CABLES are usually culprit. I advised a guy not long ago get new cables, he went and got batteries, gave me old ones. He still has to buy cables, soon as the new edge gets off those batteries. During my farming I replaced cables every 7 to 10 years and batteries every ten. Seriously I quite often get 10 years on batteries, secret is good cables.
