Steven: I just looked through 150 Years of IH. From what I saw 80% of tractors 06,56,66 and 86 series, had the lower side panell at front painted white. The exceptions seemed to be tractors with German diesel, then bingo there was a 1206 with white panell like your tractor only not white all the way to front, and an 856 with lower front side panell painted red. All 56 series tractors I have seen actual tractor not just picture had the lower front side panell white.
