1. You must remove the final drive from the differential shaft housing to access the brakes on the right side. You remove the differential shaft housing from the differential to access the left side brakes.
2. The differential shaft slides right out of the differential, it is a splined shaft. The drums are on with a key, you may need to press or pull them off the shaft, depending on the amount of rust.
3.The brake band is an external contracting band, it fits on the outside of the drum.
