I believe there was also a 2-cycle screamin' Jimmy conversion, but have never actually seen a picture of one or anything. I have heard a lot of comments on how the diesel engine conversions could turn an M into an H. This is difficult to understand as the 3-71 Detroit in a Super 99 Oliver puts out around 80 horses. Maybe the M just had a 2-71? As for conversion kits today, the only conversion I know of for old tractors is a diesel engine for an Allis Chalmers G. However, with a little machine work and an adapter plate you could put anything you want in an M. I have seen a few V-8 conversions.
