I think Fords get a bad rapp from people who do not like them for being a Ford. True I will admit the 9n,2n,8n are a little tall geared from the factory . Aftermarket aux transmisions cure this if you can find one. Get yourself a later hundred series with a 5 speed trans they are geared right.I have an 850 that will work circles around an H for the type of work you asked about. If it was an 860 it would be better as they have a two stage clutch allowing you to stop tractor and keep the pto spinning. In my area Fords are plentiful and parts are very easy to get....Not against farmalls at all as we have 3 cubs and a super A also but for an all around work tractor the Ford suits me.........Big Mike
