Well fellas its ether, anyway when these were new they would start even sitting out in a snowbank, I worked at a IH dealer and you didnt use ether, it would just lock the engine up, we would lay on the glow plugs for 2/3 minutes. The biggest problem was just being patient. A tractor that age now could have a lot work needed, batteries/cables-starter, glow plug switch/meter, wiring to glow plugs/terminal block, then engine compression.
