Where do I find the serial number on a Super A?

I'm the proud owner of a Farmall Super A (or possibly an A-1, I'm not sure), in running, but not great, condition (It came with the small farm I just purchased). I really love it, and I'd like to figure out what manuals to purchase, what year it is, etc. so I can restore it. I can just barely read a serial number on the transmission casing (probably a casting number -- it's upside down), which is 351637-A1. Any ideas where the "real" serial number is. -Greg. P.S. This is my first tractor, so go easy on me. :-)
