Larry, as stated by scotty it would have to be running out pretty good to run on front tire, however i do beleive that is your problem as i have worked on a couple that did the same thing. You get to the front crank-seal as stated by farmer bob. Also you should replace the timing cover gasket because you could have a combination of the two. Anyway get in there and take a look, it really isn't a bad job and you should tell where it is coming from.
