Larry, as stated by scotty it would have to be running out pretty good to run on front tire, however i do beleive that is your problem as i have worked on a couple that did the same thing. You get to the front crank-seal as stated by farmer bob. Also you should replace the timing cover gasket because you could have a combination of the two. Anyway get in there and take a look, it really isn't a bad job and you should tell where it is coming from. Good luck on your repair and remember this is the place to find help, bunch of good guys with good info eager to help with any questions, just "giv'm a hollor"
