Brian, I run 20w50 walmart oil, 1= it is inexpensive and the front seal leaks a lot 2= it keeps the oil pressure up when it gets warmed up here in southeast Oklahoma 3= all oils are the same why pay for a brand name(that ought to start a few arguments) however you should not switch from non-detergent without cleaning the engine out. As for the hydraulic unit, a case dealership oldtimer told me that you cannot get the original touchcontrol fluid any longer, the next closest thing was non-detergent 30 weight motor oil. I drained the unit, cleaned the screen, poured it in and it has worked fine for six years now.
