Another likely culprit is ignition. I know you have spark when you first start it but sometimes they develop what we call a "heat related intermittent". That is why if you leave it for a while it will start and run ok for a little while, after they cool down, and then stop again when a component gets to a certain temperature. I would check for spark when it acts up. Possible components to check are coil and condenser. These are both known to develop heat intermittent problems. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck Stan
