The Delstar is very forgiving. However, it is pretty thin and it will run eaisly if your not careful. I started on the outer side of the fender so it would be hidden by the tire. Put on thin coats, wait 15 to 20 min between coats, four to five coats is about right. Use a grey or white primer, it will take more red to cover but you can see where you missed. I used red oxide and I had to go back and repaint some places. Also I would suggest painting the hard to get to places first with a touch up gun for better control(first two coats). The last two or three)coats should focus on the overall tractor. Good Luck. Daniel. PS It took three quarts of RED.
