I'll tell you what. I almost know exactly how you feel. I am looking for my great-grandfather's (and grandma's, too) Farmall B. Great-grandpa died before I was born after falling down unfamiliar stairs, so I was unable to ever ask him where it went. Grandma knew exactly where it went, but again, I was able to speak to the widow, and she spoke to me how much of a fun and clean tractor it was. It broke my heart to hear her describe the two men that came to buy it after her husband sold the farm, how estatic they were, but could not remember who they were. My grandma constantly talks about growing up on her B, and she is not getting younger, and I would like to find it for her. You have the added pressure of your father's understandable but failing health. I have heard success stories ranging from a month to 12 years (John McDer has a story of a long wait), but on the bright side I haven't heard of any sad stories, becuase normally no one gives up, so they are just dragged out. Good luck, I hope you can find it as soon as possible. I can only imagine what such a machine meant to a farmer who grew up on it, raised his family and his life, and needed to let it slip away. Hopefully I added some words of encouragement.
