Cogs and shafts don't turn very fast in that F-20 compared to cars and trucks. Never had much to do with F-20, but probably were no tighter at shift lever than letter series tractors. If you leave those tractors out to weather in high rainfall areas, lots of water can run down shift lever into transmission. I am sure presure would have no trouble escaping.
